DALI Spektor 1 Bookshelf Speaker Review

The DALI Spektor 1 Bookshelf Speaker

Customer Reviews

Don't let the size fool you
“These are the smallest of DALI's budget Spektor line but they sound fantastic!

Surprisingly good bass response for the size and they can be placed very close to a wall with no noticeable "boominess".

The sound is clear and detailed with some emphasis on the treble but I don't find them to be fatiguing over long listening sessions. Using them on a desktop with an ELAC amp and couldn't be happier with them.

Note: these do need a good amplifier as they are rated at 6 ohms with a sensitivity of only 83dB”

For music lovers
“Over the years I've heard quite a lot of speakers priced around these Dali Spektor bookshelfs and, without doubt, these are definitely the best. I play all sorts of music - classical, rock, jazz, folk etc., and these speakers reproduce all types of music very well. If you're looking for a pair of small, well balanced speakers (not too much bass, not too much treble) these will not let you down.

Even at low volumes (which I often think is a good test of speakers) the sound reproduction is quite full. The speaker cabinets are also very well crafted - you'll see and feel the quality as soon as you take them out of the box.

I have a few albums that I don't think have been mixed/engineered too well but these speakers make them more listenable than any others I've had in the past but, as always with speakers, you have to bear in mind the quality and source of the music you are playing through them before passing judgment"

You'll be glad you bought this
“I wanted a small pair of bookshelf speakers for my Denon CEOL RCD-N9 bedroom system ..I already have Dali Zensor 1 ( for HT) and Dali Zensor 3 ( for my Hi-Fi stereo setup) speakers which are excellent.

So decided to try out the Dali Spektor 1 ( 30% smaller than Zensor 1 ) based on several reviews I'd read.

This is a cute little speaker with 4.5 inch woofer driver and 21 mm tweeter.. The sensitivity is a bit on the lower side 83dB..( but a 40 Watt amp should be good enough for an average sized room).

The build quality , workmanship and looks are excellent and in no way compromised ..Looks even better without the grills..

Sound quality : To my surprise , the sound quality is phenomenal for that size of the speaker.. The trebles , mids and lows are nicely balanced and integrated .. The bass is more than adequate ( can't expect more for such a size) .. Superb well crafted speakers with great sound .. Just go for them.”

Summary

For a compact speaker that packs a punch, look no further than the DALI Spektor 1 Bookshelf Speaker. A great addition to your home cinema.
